For a lot of people, the idea of an engagement shoot summons visions of standing around awkwardly staring into each others eyes. That’s not how I do things.
My whole approach is based around having a good time first, and shooting second. How can you expect to get photographs you will love if you aren’t enjoying yourselves? This is the same approach I bring to weddings so if you are unsure about being in front of the camera on the big day, an engagement shoot is a great way to put these concerns to rest.
More to the point though, engagement shoots are just plain fun. This is the real reason I recommend them. We will spend two or so hours strolling, chatting, throwing shapes and attempting to answer life’s big questions such as: ‘if dogs wore trousers, would they wear braces or belts?’
Then, as if by magic, a gorgeous collection of photographs featuring you both living your best lives will appear in your inbox.

How much?
I am currently offering engagement shoots for £300, or £250 if you have booked your wedding with me.
Where shall we go?
We can go somewhere pretty or we can go somewhere special to you. The idea of an engagement shoot is to celebrate your relationship so if you can think of somewhere that matches both of these criteria, even better!
Do we need to be engaged?
Absolutely not, the only difference between an engagement shoot and a couple shoot is the ring.
How many photographs can we expect?
I aim for 50-60 but nearly always get too excited and run over.
Do you shoot outside of the South West?
I certainly do! I ask travel expenses outside of the South West but I try to keep these as low as I possibly can.
When do we get the photographs?
In a day or so, I will give you a peek of a handful of shots and then you can expect the rest in under two weeks.
Can we bring our dog?
PLEASE do but be warned that I might take it home with me.
Can we bring our cat?

Even around 30 minutes before I was due to meet these two, some severely dark clouds threatened a wet couple of hours. However, everything came together for an amazing evening which was absolutely deserved for such a patient, kind and fun pair of humans!
