Sneak Peek: Sam and Coralie's Wedding at Powderham Castle

It is not often (or ever) that I get to hang out with a big old tortoise at a wedding. However, that was just one of the many amazing parts of Sam and Coralie’s wedding!

Although slightly less uncommon, I have never photographed an owl ring bearer. The best part of this though, was that Groomsman Sam (dubbed the ring bearer-bearer) was unaware that he would be summoning an owl to bring him the rings until the day. This was in equal parts hilarious and incredible! Big shouts to both Sam and Cobweb (the gorgeous barn owl) for this super cool moment!

While I could go on talking about the animals involved in this day (there was also a donkey, a goat, and cats), I have to say how wonderful Sam and Coralie are. Being two of the loveliest people going, it never felt like it was any hassle at all if I wanted to pull them away to try something extra creative. They truly made me feel like a part of the family which meant I had one of the most relaxed shoots ever!

There were too many highlights of the day to count - to be honest, the whole day was a highlight. However, I would like to encourage more people to have a flower groomsman (a role that was incredibly well executed by Sam of owl fame). This performance really lightened the mood which made for a delightfully relaxed, smiley ceremony!

Sam and Coralie - thank you SO much for having me, you absolutely nailed it! Big love also to Niki and Kayleigh, it was so lovely to catch up!

It was so great to be back at the incredible Powderham Castle. Big love to Tim and the team for their hard work and for helping the day be so fun and wonderfully chilled!
