Sneak Peek: Ellie & Joe's Wedding in Whimple, Devon
I am always a fan of weddings that are done in the couple’s own way and this was such a great example.
Rather than follow all the traditions, Joe and Ellie planned this day how they wanted it, which made things super special. For starters, Ellie quite literally hand made the bridesmaids dresses - and there were six bridesmaids! They looked absolutely incredible and matched the vibe impeccably.
Another way they broke from tradition to make the day extra special was that they had already got the legal bits out of the way. This allowed Joe’s Uncle (who came all the way over from Australia) to be the officiant for the ceremony and allowed the speeches to be during the ceremony which worked really well! They also had ‘flower grandmas’ for flower girls which was truly fantastastic.
Another highlight for me was the bride and groom piñata. This spectacle was equal parts terrifying and hilarious.
Ellie and Joe are absolutely divine humans that are full of love and laughter. Them and their friends and family had me cracking up all day. Thank you to everyone involved for such a delightfully chill, beautiful and rather amusing day!
